NASCAR Betting – Dickies 500 at Texas

NASCAR betting odds are available on the Dickies 500 at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend. There are only three more races in the race for the Sprint Cup but the winner has already been pretty much determined as Jimmy Johnson has a huge lead. Johnson will probably not be the favorite in this race though for gamblers betting autoracing.

odds will likely have last week’s winner, Carl Edwards as the favorite in the Dickies 500. Edwards is second in the Chase standings so he will have incentive to win this week in autoracing betting. Johnson has a huge lead and will be playing to safe, so he might not be a good choice in NASCAR betting this week. Edwards won last week in Atlanta in NASCAR betting and the winner of that race has traditionally won the Dickies 500 as well in autoracing betting. The Dickies 500 has only been on the autoracing schedule for three seasons but each time the Atlanta winner also won at Texas in NASCAR betting. Edwards won this race in autoracing betting in 2005 and overall, he has had a lot of success in Texas. He won earlier this year in Fort Worth for gamblers betting NASCAR racing. The only other driver to win two Cup races in Forth Worth for gamblers betting autoracing racing is Jeff Burton.

Texas Motor Speedway would prefer that the Dickies 500 was held on a different date during the year since deer hunting season also begins this weekend. Attendance is still great at autoracing races but it is going down. Last week there were 80,000 fans in Atlanta which is 20,000 less than last year. After Edwards was the autoracing betting winner in 2005, it was Tony Stewart who won for gamblers betting autoracing in 2006 while Jimmie Johnson won last year in NASCAR betting in this race.

Gamblers can watch the autoracing betting action on ABC television this weekend. The race should be exciting on Sunday as Texas Motor Speedway usually has some of the fastest speeds on the circuit.
