NASCAR Betting – Ford 400

NASCAR betting concludes for the 2009 season with the Ford 400 which is held at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida on Sunday, November 22nd.

The bet on NASCAR race culminates the Chase for the Sprint Cup and should just be a coronation for Jimmie Johnson.

NASCAR betting could be wide open for this event since Johnson is likely to play it very safe. The Ford 400 has been the last one on the NASCAR betting schedule since the 2004 season. ABC televises this NASCAR betting race that ends the season.

While much of the NASCAR betting attention in this race will go to Johnson the ultimate winner will probably be someone who drives a Ford.  The last five winners of this race have been Ford drivers and six of the last seven NASCAR betting winners in this race drove a Ford. Last year it was Carl Edwards winning this race in NASCAR betting. Matt Kenseth won the previous year while Greg Biffle made this race his own for three straight years as he won in NASCAR betting from 2004-2006. Bobby Labonte drove his Chevy to a win in 2003 and that was the last time any other manufacturer won this race.

Those that bet on NASCAR will have some interesting choices for this race.  They could choose to go with the veteran Mark Martin to end this NASCAR betting season with a win.  They may choose the young Juan Pablo Montoya to end the year with a victory.  This is Montoya’s home track so he could be a popular choice in NASCAR betting.

Always popular in NASCAR betting is Tony Stewart and those that bet on NASCAR may want to pick him to win in the final race of the season. It has been a great year for Stewart as an owner-driver. Also popular this week in NASCAR betting will be Jeff Gordon and Kyle Busch. They are usually contenders in Miami and could be good choices this week as you bet on NASCAR. Greg Biffle is another solid choice considering he is a three-time winner of this race.

Keep in mind as you look at the final race of the NASCAR season that you have a couple of different options. You can choose to bet on an individual driver to win the race or you can bet the driver vs. driver matchups that are posted on the sportsbook board.
