American Idol Betting Odds Have McCreery as Favorite

He also has a great voice and it would be a surprise if he did not win in American Idol betting.  He is a solid favorite against Lauren Alaina and Haley Reinhart.

Scotty McCreery
Many of his choices are country songs or pop tunes and those fit his personality well. He has the same type of style that Garth Brooks has and that is appealing to many fans.  He appeals to most of America with his looks and with his talents. He plays baseball and goes to high school in North Carolina.  It definitely helps his cause that he appeals to the biggest voting block, teen girls.  If he doesn’t win it would be a major surprise in American Idol betting.

Lauren Alaina
She is just 16 years old and is very talented with a voice that reminds some of Kelly Clarkson.  She is a cheerleader with a great appeal to many fans. She has an uphill battle though to beat out McCreery.

Haley Reinhart
She is 20-years old and has a voice that is more versatile than either of the other two singers but she can be inconsistent. Her attitude hasn’t helped her cause and it would be a major surprise to see her beat out either of the other two in the final but she does have an outside shot to make it to the final two if Alaina slips up.

The three singers will perform three songs to determine who makes it to the final.  They will get to do a song of their choice, a song chosen by the judges and a song chosen by Jimmy Iovine.  The songs that the judges have chosen already leaked out as McCreery will be doing the Kenny Rogers song “She Believes in Me.”  Alaina will be doing “I Hope You Dance” by Leann Womack and Reinhart will be doing “You Oughta Know” by Alanis Morissette.  The difference in those songs would be “You Oughta Know” which might have given Reinhart and advantage except for the fact that Crystal Bowersox sang that song in last year’s finale.
